About Charters Towers

From our first Charters Towers shop front opening in 1872,  we are proud to be celebrating in 2022 that the Towers has been opened for business for 150 years. As we continue to strengthen our commitment to local business, our community and lifestyle, we are creating the perfect environment to live, work and play. Investors unwavering confidence in our region, has resulted in millions of dollars worth of development applications being lodged with council within the last 12 months.

Today the region enjoys a diverse economy which includes mining, agriculture, education, manufacturing, construction, retail, and defence.  Our regions’ natural scenic beauty provides an amazing backdrop to inspire and encourage innovation.  We are happy to facilitate YOUR next big idea! We welcome you to come, sit down and discuss with us the limitless potential our Charters Towers Region may provide your business.”
