About the Event

Key learnings in this Weeks Course

Module 03 Video 01:

  • The most common pitfalls and mistakes that cause startups to fail include: Working on derivative ideas, competing with free, continuing for too long as a sole founder, building a tech company without any tech skills in the team, keeping your idea a secret, launching too late, and taking advice from people with limited startup experience.
  • These are all avoidable as long as you take action early enough!

Module 03 Video 02:

  • Expert Insight: The most common reasons for failure (Stefan Knight, Amazon Web Services) Stefan Knight is Startups Account Manager for Amazon Web Services. Stefan has been a serial startup founder, has worked within some of the most successful tech companies in Silicon Valley and Canada, has been a mentor at multiple accelerators including Stone & Chalk and Muru-D, and now is part of the Amazon Web Services team which supports many thousands of startups worldwide.
  • There are an almost unlimited number of ways your startup can fail. The good news is that many of them are avoidable as long as you know what they are and take action early on.
